VT Vanneck Global Growth
Overview
A fully invested equity strategy investing in high-quality companies worldwide which aims to outperform the MSCI world index.
What does the fund do? The fund invests in c. 30-40 global equities which have a history of impressive cashflow growth and can defend and sustain a high return on capital without requiring significant leverage. Why Vanneck? We obsess about alignment and risk. There are two common types of misalignment for fund managers: either they are on a salary and take too little risk as fearful of losing employment, or they take too much risk to generate outperformance, grow AUM and make their own fortunes. We have a great deal of our own money invested in our funds and are, therefore, completely aligned with investors in taking the appropriate amount of risk; we are not in this for a salary, or to make our fortunes, but to grow our capital patiently. This is manifested through our thoughtful approach, with a ruthless focus on portfolio construction to generate risk-adjusted (not just volatility-adjusted) returns. |
